C IS CONCLUDING

New activity: CHAMPIONS OF MAGIC – CHASING THE UNBELIEVABLE

What child is not fascinated by magic? Even as grownups it’s hard to figure out how a magician does their tricks and, quite frankly, we don’t want to know as it would take away the magic of the performance. Barbara was lucky enough to get two great seats for Champions of Magic at the Winspear Opera House. She grabbed our friend, Pam, and off they went.

While not quite the level of some of the major magicians such as David Copperfield, this was a different act out of the United Kingdom with some humor infused into it. But we still couldn’t tell you how they managed to do some of things they did. All in all it was a fun evening and ended with a shower of confetti and an outdoor handout of chocolate sprinkled churros and shots of margaritas.

But before we conclude this month, we felt compelled to taste two more “C” ice cream flavors. This month we went back to Handel’s in Plano. When Laura saw the flavor “ coffee chocolate chip,” she knew she had to try it. Each of those three words were calling her name. The ice cream was delicious! Coffee ice cream can sometimes be a tad bitter but not this one.  She would give it an A+. Barbara tasted the Cheesecake Made with Oreo. Unfortunately this wasn’t her favorite. The vanilla ice cream was creamy and good but the cheesecake pieces were off-putting and she didn’t taste any Oreos at all so she gives it a C-.
